WE STRUGGLE

We struggle to make use of our purpose on earth
To enjoy life to its climax
We toil day and night
Looking for power, wealth and fame
We desire to dominate
And not to be dominated
After acquiring all that we want from life
Our heart still keeps looking for more
I realized then that the pursuit of earthly things
Does overshadow us from seeing the realities of life
Earthly gains, possessions, fame are all transient.
Life is an illusion, a mirage that blinds us all
